Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction dalam Meningkatkan Komunikasi Matematis Mahasiswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Instruction (PBI) pada mata kuliah Program Linear di kelas Tadris Matematika semester 4. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes komunikasi matematis, lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa dan dosen, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 58, sementara posttest pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 72 dan pada siklus II mencapai 85. Keterlaksanaan model PBI berdasarkan lembar observasi menunjukkan peningkatan dari 58,57% menjadi 90,36% untuk observasi mahasiswa, dan dari 62,5% menjadi 90,6% untuk observasi dosen. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBI efektif dalam meningkatkan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa.
