LANGUAGE POLICY TRANSITION FOR NURIS JOURNAL OF EDUCATION AND ISLAMIC STUDIES

In line with the strategic vision to amplify the international scholarly impact and accessibility of research in the fields of education and Islamic studies, the Editorial Board of Nuris Journal of Education and Islamic Studies hereby announces a pivotal transition in its language policy.

Commencing with the 2027 publication cycle, NJEIS will adopt English as the sole language of publication. This decision is undertaken to enhance the journal’s global dissemination, foster interdisciplinary and cross-border academic dialogue, and align with international indexing and citation standards.

To facilitate this transition, the journal will begin accepting manuscript submissions exclusively in English effective 1 July 2026. Manuscripts submitted in languages other than English prior to this date will continue to be processed under the existing policy for the 2026 publication volume. Submissions received on or after 1 July 2026 must be composed in English to enter the peer-review process.

This policy shift is anticipated to yield significant benefits, including:

  • Increased visibility within global academic databases and repositories;

  • Broader engagement with an international readership and research network;

  • Enhanced potential for citation impact and scholarly collaboration;

  • Strengthened contribution to the global discourse on education and Islamic studies.

Prospective authors are advised to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with rigorous academic English standards. The use of professional language editing services prior to submission is strongly recommended to ensure conceptual clarity and linguistic precision. Updated Author Guidelines reflecting this policy will be published on the journal’s website in June 2026.
